from whence the seed was sown
The Légumerie celebrates vegetables, grains, pulses and legumes, and champions ethical and sustainable food production. Our passion for plant-based fare is born of a love for people, animals and the planet, and a conviction that by changing our approach to food we not only help the environment, we open ourselves up to a whole new world of culinary possibilities.

The business is run by brother and sister team, John and Claire Duffy. Claire holds a master’s degree in global food security, has a keen interest in sustainable agriculture, environmental protection and climate justice, and occasionally moonlights in international development. John has a master’s degree in international business but is yet to be convinced of its usefulness.
John is an artificial intelligence nerd, Tesla enthusiast and lover of craft beer. When not reading, writing or experimenting in the kitchen, Claire enjoys sound design, whiskey and all things triathlon.
